The game

Astraion Online is a space MMO with a tilted 2.5D camera, played in landscape on phones and in the browser on computers. All players share one universe.

Story

Our ancestors looked up at the night sky and drew paths between the stars. Then we sailed those paths in ships. But one day the stars began to go out, one by one: a dark power awakened in the depths of the galaxy and poured into our worlds with countless servants.

Humanity split in two. On one side the Kraos Empire, sworn to keep order by the sword; on the other the Elysar Union, pledged to carry the light together. On your first login you watch this story in a short cinematic, then choose your side.

Factions

Your faction is permanent: it decides your home base, your quest giver, your faction chat channel and your allies. Both factions are completely equal in strength; the difference is in story and style.

  • Kraos Empire: crimson and black fortresses, a hard military tone. Quests are given by the Kraos Imperial Officer.
  • Elysar Union: steel, gold and blue glass. Quests are given by the Elysar Senate.

Groups and clans are formed within a faction; whispers and friendships are open across both.

Galaxies

Lumen Galaxy

Each faction has four sectors; the first holds its home base. Creatures grow stronger and rewards bigger as you go deeper, and deeper sectors require a minimum pilot level. Both factions' territories meet in the huge neutral War Zone in the middle.

Umbra Galaxy

Gates in the heart of the War Zone open into the Umbra Galaxy, home of an ancient machine-crystal race. Each faction has a magnificent grand base here, with far stronger creatures and the most valuable loot. Umbra opens at level 20.

The Galaxy Map: sectors, bases and the War Zone.

Ships and equipment

Everyone starts with a small scout ship. As you level up and earn credits you move on to light fighters, fast starships, assault frigates, heavy cruisers and finally the mighty flagship. Every ship has its own model, slot layout and character.

  • Lasers: every laser you fit is visible on your ship and fires at once.
  • Shield generators: absorb part of the incoming damage.
  • Speed generators: boost cruising speed and your dash.
  • Booster CPUs: special abilities such as auto-resupply, refining, cloaking or a repair robot.
  • Droids: up to 10 companions around your ship. They level up as you fight, growing stronger and changing their look.

Each ship has two separate loadouts (configurations); switch between them with one key, even mid-battle.

Creatures and bosses

Every sector has its own creatures. Most are calm and only fight back when attacked; hunters chase anyone who comes close. Swarms attack together, and a badly hurt creature tries to flee. Each species has a bigger, tougher Elder.

In the War Zone live four giant bosses that no pilot can defeat alone. Rewards are shared by damage dealt.

Ores and economy

Destroyed creatures drop loot crates; galaxy crates scattered across the maps hold credits, ammo and rarely Astra. Ores fill your cargo hold; refine common ores into valuable crystals or sell them at your base's Ore Trade module.

Player vs player

The first sectors are safe. In deeper sectors and the War Zone you can fight pilots of the rival faction. New pilots flying the starter ship are protected, and your own base's safe zone is a refuge.

Social

Global, faction and clan-recruitment chat channels; private whispers; a friends list; groups of 8 (creature rewards are shared and the leader can set a rally point) and clans. Found your own clan or apply to clans looking for pilots.

Devices

Astraion Online runs on phones in landscape (Android app) and in the browser on computers. Your progress is stored on the server, so you can continue on either device with the same account. Updates arrive automatically.

The game itself is currently available in Turkish; English is planned.
